Reported earlier today on a growing rumor about Daizen Maeda’s health that was going around in Celtic’s online community. Sources say that during a private Q&A session, Brendan Rodgers, the manager of Celtic, said that Maeda’s healing was going much faster than expected. This means that he could be back with the team soon, maybe even as soon as next week.
In order to get more information about these claims, our team got proof from two different people who were at the event that Rodgers did indeed give this positive update.

The event, which was a private get-together for Celtic shareholders in the investors’ lounge, gave them a chance to talk to the Celtic manager personally. One of the shareholders asked about the health levels of both Callum McGregor and Daizen Maeda during the conversation.

If Rodgers’s new assessment is correct, Maeda might be able to play in the next two games at Celtic Park, against Hearts and Rangers. Maeda has been out since hitting the first goal in the match against Rangers at Ibrox in just 22 seconds, which is an amazing feat.

It’s very good news that Maeda might be able to come back early after what looked like a season-ending injury a few weeks ago. Not only does his quick recovery help the team’s chances in the important stretch run, but it also makes his endurance an interesting topic for scientists to study.

After the two legs tied 3-3, Yokohama beat Ulsan Hyundai in a thrilling spot shootout, winning 5-4. Yokohama showed toughness under Kewell’s direction in a tough game that included a comeback, two goals lost, and a red card.

William Popp made a big save against Ulsan’s Kim Min-woo, which led to Carlos Eduardo scoring the game-winning penalty.

The win sets up a final matchup with Al Ain, which should be an exciting end to the tournament for Yokohama F. Marinos under Harry Kewell’s direction.
