Highlights: Manchester City 5-1 Wolves – All Goals and Attempts
Striker Erling Haaland was upset when he was taken off for Manchester City’s win over Wolves in the Premier League. He had scored four goals.
Pep Guardiola said that Erling Haaland was upset that he hadn’t been called for any fouls in Manchester City’s win over Wolves when he was removed.
With four goals, Haaland scored the game-winning goal in a 5-1 win. The Blues are now three points closer to keeping their Premier League title and becoming the first team to win four straight games. City quickly reacted to Arsenal’s win over Bournemouth in the lunchtime, with a late goal from Julian Alvarez.
However, City’s No. 9 didn’t seem pleased when he was taken off in the last 10 minutes. Even though Guardiola and his scorer talked, Haaland was not happy and made his way to the bench.
Haaland was angry that he didn’t get more fouls, but City’s boss said Haaland was happy with how the game had gone. Even though he was upset, Haaland was still able to do a lap of honor around the Etihad to enjoy the win. He was in a great mood when he got back to the locker room.
“There were a lot of long balls into channels where he won the position and was dragged in by the other player and it was never [given as] a foul,” said Guardiola. “I can understand when he’s level with him, but at times he won the position and was being pulled.”
“He went down, and sometimes there was no foul.” It takes place a lot in every game. He was a little mad at these things, but I know for sure how happy he was today.
