Reports say that Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr has stepped up their pursuit of Manchester United midfielder Casemiro in preparation for a possible summer move.

The 32-year-old is likely to leave Old Trafford after a terrible second season, and Al Nassr is ready to give Sir Jim Ratcliffe a lot of money. United could have their worst Premier League season ever, so they will need to sell players this summer in order to make the changes they need to make.

According to reports, the club will only be able to spend about £100 million because of Financial Fair Play (FFP) and the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). MEN Sport has learned that INEOS has put all of their players on the trade list except Rasmus Hojlund, Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho, and Andre Onana.

Raphael Varane, Anthony Martial, Tom Heaton, and Jonny Evans will all help with the clearance as their contracts are about to run out. Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Jadon Sancho, and Mason Greenwood are some of the well-known players who are up for sale, though.

And it is said that the leader of Brazil is being set up for a big-money move to Saudi Arabia, where he might play with Cristiano Ronaldo again. CaughtOffside says that Al Nassr has already talked to Casemiro’s representatives about a possible summer move.

The 18-year-old Reds player is said to be open to a new task if the price is right. He only joined the club two years ago from Real Madrid in a £70 million deal. The story also says that Al Nassr is ready to offer a three-year deal and is getting ready to send United an initial offer worth around £34 million.

It would be the most money United has ever received for a player. The previous record was £24 million for Morgan Schneiderlin, who moved to Everton in 2016. Casemiro’s £34 million move to the Middle East this summer would also be the club’s fourth-biggest sale in its long history.

In 2009, Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid for a world record £80 million. This price has not been topped since, but there have been 18 more expensive football transfers, including Antony and Paul Pogba’s moves to United.

The second is Romelu Lukaku’s £74 million move to Inter Milan in 2019. The third is Angel di Maria’s £44 million move to Paris Saint-Germain in 2015. If Casemiro left, United would have more money to spend on new players, and they could add at least one midfielder to give the team more energy and strength.
