“We don’t want to sell our best players” – Newcastle United coach Eddie Howe sends out a clear message on Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak transfer report
It is thought that Arsenal will pay £120 million for Isak this summer. On the other hand, Guimaraes has a £100 million release clause that goes into effect in June and only a few teams, like Manchester City and PSG, could afford to pay that much for him.
Howe says that if Newcastle lost either, they would have to start over, and he wants BOTH to lead the Toon next season.
Newcastle, on the other hand, is debating what will happen with Callum Wilson, who has one year left on his deal and is very helpful as they try to follow the rules for financial fair play.
Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes have been great for Newcastle United this season, but manager Eddie Howe doesn’t want to lose them. However, another big name could go.
Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes WILL play for Newcastle next season after Eddie Howe shot down rumors that they would be sold for £200 million.
This season, Isak has scored 20 goals, and Howe said, “I see them here.” All of my plans are made with them in the squad.
“We don’t want to trade away our best players.” That is very important to us, and if we fail, we will have to start over, which will set us back a long way.
“The club is not weak enough to say we are going to sell anyone.” No one at the football club wants to sell our best stars.
Howe said, “Based on Alex’s performances, training, and just how he is day to day, I don’t see him thinking about those things or dealing with those rumors.” During the summer, the Swede’s head could be changed.
“Everything is fine.” When you’re getting goals like he is, you get used to people talking about you and maybe making up rumors that are true or not true.
“All we can think about right now is our future with Alex and how to build our team with him on it.” He’s going to be very important to our future.
We signed him knowing that he was young and wanted to help him improve his skills and show what he could do. For me, that was the start of a long-term relationship, a journey that will hopefully last for a long time, and I’ve seen him do great this year.
“I think he’s liked the place and the team he’s played on, and I hope he stays that way for many years to come.”
Isak’s team will try to negotiate a new contract that pays him as much as a deal with a Champions League club. Howe said, “The great thing about the way football clubs are set up now is that it’s not my decision, and I don’t have to take part in that discussion.” I talk about the person and how important I think he is to the team. The club will take care of the rest.
Howe says that some players will be leaving this summer. Miggy Almiron could be the first to go to Saudi Arabia, but Wilson is the player Howe would really like to keep.
“There is always a different point of view,” Howe said. As a boss, my job is to win football games, and the club has to be able to stay in business and follow the rules for financial fair play.
