VAR CONTROVERSY: The major reason why Manchester United F.C. player Amad Diallo was not awarded a penalty after Thomas Partey harsh tackle during Arsenal win vs Manchester United

The winger for Manchester United, Amad, didn’t get a penalty against Arsenal because he was the one who touched Thomas Partey first.

Before the 20th minute, United was playing well against Arsenal, but Arsenal took the lead when Leandro Trossard easily turned in Kai Havertz’s cross in front of the Stretford End. As the 21-year-old tried to even things up, he cut in from the right side and then went to the ground.

At first glance, the Partey challenge looked like it happened inside the penalty area, but a video showed that it might have been a lot closer. The judge, Paul Tierney, chose not to give a penalty kick, and video review agreed with this choice.

United thought they should have been given a penalty in their Premier League game against Arsenal because Thomas Partey tripped Amad and knocked him to the ground.

Mike Dean, a former official in the Premier League, told Sky Sports, “For me, it’s not inside [the penalty area].” Because of his skill and speed, I think he stepped on Partey’s foot and knocked him down, so I don’t see a problem.

But Gary Neville said the call wasn’t as clear-cut. “Partey was on the floor is the only question,” he said.

“He raises his right leg.” Notice Parety’s right leg. Oh, no. Do not change where you watch it. Oh, cool. Does the ball go to him? Haven’t decided yet. most likely enough in it.”

But Dean wouldn’t give up. He said, “I don’t think there is enough in it.” I know Amad’s foot is out there because he stood on it.

It’s not a penalty kick, in my opinion. What Paul did was right, and the VAR (John Brooks) agreed.
