The Scottish Premiership title is now safely stored in the prize cabinet at Celtic Park, and all eyes are on next weekend.
As the countdown to the end-of-season finish starts, the buildup to the Scottish Cup final against Rangers will begin.
Celtic is better than Rangers this season, so the Ibrox club will have to put on a really great show to beat the Scottish Champions for the first time this season.
At least that’s what Chris Sutton says.
Predictions for Celtic vs. Rangers
After three wins and a tie against the Ibrox club, the former Celtic star is pretty sure that they will win next Saturday.
And while Celtic fans would never be so relaxed about beating our biggest enemies, Sutton thinks Celtic will beat the Ibrox club after seeing them lose again to Hearts.
He told BBC 606 that Rangers had lost points again. Are Rangers and Celtic really going to play for the Scottish Cup next weekend?
“Can they make Celtic work?” “It looks like Celtic will ease to victory.”
This season, Celtic has done well in this game, and Brendan Rodgers has a great record against Rangers as Celtic manager.
Between now and now, the Celtic boss has played Rangers 17 times and won 13 times while losing once. (Transfer Market)
Based on the other three, it looks like Rodgers has the Ibrox club’s number. And while I don’t agree with the idea that form doesn’t matter in the Glasgow Derby, I do agree that these games are very unpredictable.
We saw how VAR directly changed the result of the 3-3 draw at Ibrox when Alistair Johnston was sent off for what was first thought to be a Fabio Silva dive when Celtic were ahead 2-0.
Next Saturday, anything could happen, especially if VAR is used. Let’s hope we’re talking about another Celtic win over Rangers and not the technology used by referees, so Joe Hart can get the message he needs at the end of May.
Expert Chris Sutton and Celtic player Alistair Johnston give their thoughts on the winners of the Scottish Cup and Premiership.
As the party went on in the West of Scotland, the city turned green and white, making for some amazing sights.
Fans of Celtic are used to these kinds of parties, but they will be more important in Alistair Johnston’s home country.
Canada is “so excited” about Celtic’s latest title win.
The Celtic fullback has now won two Scottish Premierships. While he was enjoying the parties on Trophy Day yesterday, Johnston talked about how people at home have been reacting to his team’s recent league title win.
On Celtic TV, Johnston said, “I’ve gotten a lot of messages.” There are many Celtic fan clubs back home that are all very excited. Overall, I’m very happy.
“It’s another league title, and as Cam Carter-Vickers said, it’s always great to win a league title because it shows how hard you’ve worked all year.”
We’re very pleased with this outcome, and I’m sure there are many Celtic fans around the world and in North America who are also celebrating.
As Johnston says, people from all over the world will have loved the party. With hundreds of fan clubs all over the world, Celtic is happy to be known as a worldwide football club.
Celtic’s fans are so proud of their many trophies that many of the best clubs in the world are very jealous.
For next weekend’s Scottish Cup final, if Celtic beats Rangers twice, the parties will be even bigger than the ones we’ve seen this weekend. Brendan Rodgers needs to deliver the next big prize.
