DONE DEAL: Newcastle United F.C have agreed to sign the 25-year-old A.F.C. Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly
It is said that Newcastle United and Lloyd Kelly have decided to meet to sign each other for free this summer.
Kelly, who is 25, will play out his deal with AFC Bournemouth until June 30. After that, he can sign with any other club he wants. The defender, Eddie Howe, was strongly linked with a move to Newcastle. Howe signed the player from Bristol City to The Cherries in 2019.
It has been said that Liverpool and AC Milan are also interested in Kelly this summer, but Daniele Longo, a reporter for CalcioMercato, says Kelly will be moving to Newcastle. Longo wrote on Twitter in Italian, “Kelly at @NUFC, done deal!” Sign the deal until 2027.
This comes after the Magpies lost their chance to sign Tosin Adarabioyo as a free agent. This summer, the 26-year-old back will be a free agent after leaving Fulham. Newcastle had made an offer, but Chelsea has since stepped in and will try to sign him instead.
Newcastle wants to add to their defending options this summer because Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles have been hurt for a long time.
Newcastle United F.C. 24-year-old target Bryan Mbeumo delivers transfer stance ahead of summer transfer window with a strong message
Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford has said that he wants to play in the “biggest competitions.” This comes as rumors about his future at the Gtech Community Stadium grow. Last season, Mbeumo scored nine goals for Brentford. He was put in charge of filling in for Ivan Toney, who was suspended for the first half of the season.
There has been a lot of talk about Mbeumo leaving Brentford this summer, just like some of his friends. His value has gone up a lot in the last few years. There have been rumors that both Newcastle United and Liverpool want to sign Mbeumo this summer.
Liverpool is getting ready for their first summer transfer window under new manager Arne Slot. Newcastle United, on the other hand, may want to add a flexible forward to their team in order to improve their offensive line. Mbeumo is a great fit for this role, and he showed off his skills against Eddie Howe’s team on the last day of the Premier League season.
The Cameroon player didn’t score that day, but he should have because VAR took away an assist because he was just a little offside before Ivan Toney scored the first goal. According to L’Equipe, both St. James’ Park and Anfield are interested in signing Mbeumo. When asked about his plans, the Bees winger told the publication that he wanted to play at the top level, which he might not be able to do at Brentford.
Mbeumo said, “I played for five years at Brentford, a club that knew how to help me improve and grow.” But yes, I do want to play for the best clubs and in the biggest leagues. It’s still exciting to see that some big teams want to sign me. “Let’s see.”
Adding, “It’s never easy to go abroad when you’re very young, in a place you don’t know and a language you don’t speak.” It wasn’t easy at first, even though I had a background in school, but you get used to it.
“The first time I visited Brentford’s facilities, it was in the old stadium, which had pubs in every corner.” It was against Birmingham, and the mood was so great that I was won over right away.
