Crystal Palace coach Oliver Glasner put in serious effort to frustrate Newcastle United transfer pursuit on Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze
The most recent talk about transfers from St. James Park as Newcastle United get ready for a busy summer of transfers.
Crystal Palace is getting close to making their first summer deal. The Eagles are trying to keep Newcastle United and several other Premier League clubs from getting two key players.
Following Roy Hodgson’s resignation, Oliver Glasner took over as manager of Crystal Palace and oversaw a strong final two months of the season. He will now look to add to the team that Hodgson left behind during the summer transfer window.
Jobe Bellingham of Sunderland and Daichi Kamada of Lazio, a Japanese international midfielder, are both said to be on Glasner’s radar. However, a star from La Liga should complete a move to Palace in the next few days after having a medical at Selhurst Park.
Palace are moving quickly to sign Barcelona back Chadi Riad. Riad just returned to Barcelona after a successful season-long loan with Real Betis, a rival team in La Liga.
The two-times-capped Moroccan player made 30 appearances across all competitions for the Seville-based team. However, the center-back is now set to test his skills in the Premier League after meeting with Palace for a medical. The Eagles have agreed to a deal that could cost them £14 million if certain conditions are met.
