BREAKING: Arsenal have provided solid evidence against Manchester City in the Premier League Man City 115 charges ahead of legal case
It has been said that Arsenal has given proof in support of the Premier League, even though they are still in court with Manchester City over the league’s financial rules.
It was said that Arsenal gave evidence against Manchester City because they back the Premier League in their legal fight with the champions.
This week, it came out that Manchester City is going to sue the Premier League to get rid of the Associated Party Transaction (APT) rules.
The Cityzens say that the rules do not allow them to compete with other teams, even though Abu Dhabi United Group has spent a lot more than £1.7b (€2m) on them since 2008.
Mike Keegan of the Daily Mail reports that Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Wolves, Fulham, and Brighton & Hove Albion, among others, have given information in support of the Premier League and its rules. Some have called the situation a “civil war.”
In this so-called “civil war,” Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Newcastle are all thought to back Manchester City’s concerns. They are also thought to have raised similar concerns in the past, but the City citizens’ new legal action still seems out of the ordinary.
The arbitration hearing into the issue brought up by Manchester City will begin next Monday, June 10. It is expected to last for two weeks, but if the City citizens’ case is lost, it could take a long time to go through the courts.
Legally speaking, this case is completely separate from the 115 charges that Manchester City is currently facing. These charges say that the champions failed to provide accurate financial information and failed to provide accurate details for player and manager payments from the 2009/10 season until the 2017/18 season, among other things.
