Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team are waiting for the dust to settle from United’s FA Cup win over Manchester City before deciding whether to fire Ten Hag.
The former Ajax manager improved his chances of staying in charge of Manchester United by leading a great performance at Wembley. However, just days earlier, United were officially relegated to eighth place in the Premier League, which was their worst finish in England’s top league in 34 years.
While United’s leaders talked about Ten Hag’s future, he went on vacation. He is now about to find out if he will be back at Old Trafford for another season. The Guardian says that Sir Jim’s review of the season “will not go beyond this week.”
