The names of the four (4) best Celtic F.C. players who will play for Scotland in the upcoming EURO 2024 have been released.
Even though Forrest hasn’t played for his country since the 2021 European Championships, he won his spot after getting better at the end of the club season.
He will be going to Germany with Callum McGregor, Greg Taylor, and Anthony Ralston, all of whom play for Celtic.
Before adding this player, Clarke had already named a provisional 28-man team, but Rangers’ John Souttar and veteran goalkeeper Craig Gordon were left out.
Clarke’s choice seems to have been strongly affected by Forrest’s late-season play, highlighting the winger’s knowledge and timely return to form as valuable assets for the national team.
He gives Clarke a backup plan on the left, and it’s clear that the manager plans to use it by calling up winger Lewis Morgan on Thursday.
