Recently, Newcastle United winger Yankuba Minteh has been linked with a move to Liverpool. This is because the Magpies may have to sell players before June 30 to meet Profit and Sustainability Rules. When Minteh moved to Newcastle from Odense in Denmark last summer, he hasn’t played a single game for the Magpies yet. He spent last season on loan at Feyenoord in the Eredivisie.

Yankuba Minteh has been mentioned with a shock move away from St. James’ Park this summer, even though he hasn’t played a single game for the club yet.

The Telegraph says that new Liverpool manager Arne Slot wants to work with Minteh again at Anfield. Slot worked with Minteh at De Kuip. Italy and Germany are also interested in the winger, but Newcastle are set to stick with their offer of around £40 million.

Last season, Minteh had a great time in the Netherlands. He played in the Champions League for the first time and helped Feyenoord win the KNVB Cup. Newcastle United fans kept a close eye on his growth while on loan. They hope that Eddie Howe will give the Gambian international a chance to show what he can do in the first team soon.

Howe has talked about Minteh’s loan spell before and said that he was impressed with the winger, but he didn’t want to give away too much about his future: “He’s done really well and he’s embraced the challenge of going on loan to a new league with new teammates. He’s played in the Champions League and other prestigious competitions, and he’s done really, really well this year, and I think he can be very proud of his efforts.”
