“We are depressed” – Poland and FC Barcelona player Robert Lewandowski break silence and explains his feelings after Poland becomes the first team knocked out of Euro 2024 tournament

Poland was the first team to be knocked out of Euro 2024, and Robert Lewandowski said that his team is down.

After Poland lost to Austria, France and the Netherlands tied, which means Poland can’t get out of the group.

Lewandowski didn’t play in his team’s first game because he got hurt before the event. He didn’t come off the bench until they played Austria.

The Barcelona forward says that his team will try to end on a high note when they play France in their last game.

“This loss makes us sad, but we still have one more game in our group, so we need to do our best and try to get three points,” he told media.

At the same time, Michal Probierz, the manager of Poland, talked about why Lewandowski wasn’t picked to start the game.

“This was going to be a very intense game, so the medical staff and Lewandowski himself agreed that he wouldn’t start in the first few minutes,” he said.

Poland will play France in Germany on Tuesday. After the game, the players will take a break until the 2024–25 season starts.
