Names of the five (5) players to leave Newcastle United F.C this summer transfer window

Five players from Newcastle United are leaving the club for good this week, and another is in talks to join them.
The contracts of Matt Ritchie, Paul Dummett, Loris Karius, Jeff Hendrick, and Kell Watts at St. James’ Park will end on June 30. They can now sign with other teams this summer.

The club is also in talks about letting 19-year-old winger Yankuba Minteh leave before Sunday, which is the limit for 2023–24 Premier League Profitability and Sustainability calculations.

Ahead of the summer, Eddie Howe, the head coach of Newcastle, said, “I’d like to say a huge thank you to each of the players leaving the club this summer.”

“Each of them has done so much for the cause in their own way, and I know that our supporters will cheer them on as they move on to the next part of their careers.”

“It’s easy to judge players by how many games they play and how many goals they score, but Paul and Matt have made an immeasurable difference to the club over many years.” They’ve been very important to our growth as a club and as a team.

“They’ve been great to work with as people and players.” During my time here, they were very dedicated, professional, and good leaders in the locker room. I’m sure they will bring quality and experience to their next clubs.

For Kell, who has been with the club since he was eight years old, it’s also a big deal. Kell is a top-notch worker with a great attitude. The next team that signs him will be very lucky to have him. I hope everything goes well for the stars and their families.

Newcastle United CEO Darren Eales said, “Paul, Matt, Loris, Kell, and Jeff have been true professionals while they’ve been here, and I wish them all the best.” They know that they will always be welcome at St. James’ Park as they move on.
