Rory Finneran, a player for Blackburn Rovers, is almost signed by Newcastle United.

It has been known for a while that the Magpies want to sign Finneran as they try to improve their youth team and find future stars. Finneran has played youth football for the Republic of Ireland. He made his professional debut for Blackburn Rovers in January, when he was only 15, in an FA Cup game against Cambridge United.

When Rovers played the Magpies at Ewood Park in February, the midfielder came on as a replacement but did not play. The 16-year-old has a bright future in the game and is about to move to St. James’ Park to join the youth team on Tyneside. The youth team has recently been strengthened with new players from all over England and Europe.
