“Here we go” – The young Blackburn Rovers midfielder is going to be signed by Newcastle United F.C, according to a “deal.”
Rory Finneran, a player for Blackburn Rovers, is almost signed by Newcastle United.
It has been known for a while that the Magpies want to sign Finneran as they try to improve their youth team and find future stars. Finneran has played youth football for the Republic of Ireland. He made his professional debut for Blackburn Rovers in January, when he was only 15, in an FA Cup game against Cambridge United.
When Rovers played the Magpies at Ewood Park in February, the midfielder came on as a replacement but did not play. The 16-year-old has a bright future in the game and is about to move to St. James’ Park to join the youth team on Tyneside. The youth team has recently been strengthened with new players from all over England and Europe.
Expert on transfers Fabrizio Romano told X that there has been a “verbal agreement” made for Finneran to move to Tyneside, which is good news for the player’s future. “Newcastle have agreed to sign Rory Finneran (2008). The talented player will be coming from Blackburn Rovers to join the club. A verbal deal has been made for the leader of the Republic of Ireland Under-17 team to work on the Magpies project in the future.
Finneran played a lot for Blackburn’s Under-21 team last season, even though he only turned 16 in the second part of the season. He has also played many times for Republic of Ireland’s Under-17 team.
Finneran is going to move to St. James’ Park to join an academy that will aim to grow players under the direction of new sporting director Paul Mitchell.
