“Here we go” – Victor Osimhen to Arsenal decision has been made as problems arise in plans

Chelsea is said to want to sign Victor Osimhen, and Arsenal has been asked to get involved in the deal. The Gunners should not do this, though.

David Ornstein says that Chelsea and Napoli are talking about a deal to loan Victor Osimhen to Chelsea with the chance to buy him. The talks also include Romelu Lukaku, and the news that the talks were happening made some Arsenal fans very curious.

It seems like Arsenal should be in on this deal. Why hasn’t Arsenal been as good as Chelsea at getting Osimhen? The list goes on.

In fact, Osimhen hasn’t come up much as a possible candidate this summer, even though there is some interest in the Nigerian international. The Gunners wanted to sign Benjamin Sesko early in the window, but he chose to stay with RB Leipzig. Viktor Gyokeres’ release clause being asked by Sporting CP could be a problem for them.

This week, Mikel Arteta was asked if Arsenal would make a move like they did with Declan Rice this summer. His answer put those plans to rest. He said, “We don’t think we’ll do anything like that again.” “That’s the truth.”

What has caused all this talk, though, is the fact that a loan is not the same thing as an investment of tens of millions of dollars. A move for Osimhen this summer didn’t make much sense for a number of reasons, as I wrote before.

His numbers from the previous season went down from the previous season, and his goal contribution numbers for a center forward did not support the transfer compared to Havertz’s. If you look at the season before, when the Nigerian scored more goals than ever, his goals per shot (0.18) were the same as Havertz’s, who played most of the season in center.

Because the job is so important, it doesn’t make sense to go with a player just because they’re available. Arsenal already has the aforementioned Havertz, who proved that the club was right to believe they could sign him by the end of the season.

Gabriel Jesus has been forgotten a bit when people talk about possible goal signings, but the Brazilian shouldn’t be forgotten. After scoring the goal against Manchester United and Havertz’s late comeback, he is healthy and ready to start the season as the main forward again.

Leandro Trossard is another option for the role. In his first season with the club, he played a lot of games in the middle and scored goals, set up goals, and helped the team win a lot of games. Arsenal doesn’t just sign players for the sake of getting them, which may be why Chelsea is one of the few teams interested, with even PSG having cooled their interest.

For Arsenal, it’s more important to be in the middle and wide areas. It looks like investment will be put in these areas before a striker is even thought about, which makes sense if and when it comes.
