Huge boost for Newcastle United FC as Crystal Palace have already found a replacement for Marc Guehi that is 3x times better

Crystal Palace has found a Premier League player to replace Marc Guehi while Newcastle United tries to finish a deal to sign the England defender.
Trevoh Chalobah of Chelsea is said to have been shortlisted by Palace as a possible alternative for Guehi if he decides to leave this summer. The 25-year-old played 13 times in the Premier League for Chelsea last year, but wasn’t on the team’s pre-season tour this summer.

The Telegraph says that Chelsea wants around £25 million for Chalobah, and Palace is interested in him after he was put on the transfer list. The Eagles also have Maxence Lacroix from Wolfsburg. He has less than a year left on his deal with the Bundesliga team.

If Newcastle and Guehi can agree on a deal, it could be a club record move for Guehi to leave Palace this summer. Palace has already turned down one offer from Newcastle, who wants to buy the England back for £65 million.

So far, Newcastle’s trade window hasn’t been too busy. Even though a lot of new players have come in, Eddie Howe’s present starting lineup isn’t much better.

Lewis Hall moved permanently from Chelsea on loan for £28 million last month, but he is not seen as a big addition because he was already there last season. When Lloyd Kelly was released by AFC Bournemouth, he joined the club for free. He has been Newcastle’s “marquee” pick so far.

Odysseas Vlachodimos and John Ruddy came in to help out in goal, but they won’t really be a threat to Nick Pope for the starting spot. A professional deal was also signed by the Magpies for Serbian defender Miodrag Pivas, who is 19 years old. However, he will likely be loaned out this season.

The club is also going to say that they have signed forward William Osula from Sheffield United in a deal worth a total of £15 million, which includes add-ons.

Meanwhile, talks are still going on about a move for Guehi before the start of the new Premier League season on August 17 at home against Southampton (3 p.m. kick-off).
