In the perspective of Celtic fans, Joe Hart is undoubtedly a hero.
Hart contributed to the delivery of seven trophies out of nine during his three-year tenure at Celtic, which included a record-breaking eighth domestic treble.
And following his retirement from football this summer, the veteran goalkeeper was honored with a Celtic Park heroes exit as the supporters paid tribute to a player who played a significant role in the restoration of Celtic’s dominance after a single trophy-less season.
Hart began his post-football career by dabbling in the punditry industry following his retirement from the sport at Euro 2024. Currently, he is preparing to pursue another endeavor.
Joe Hart will maintain his position as a commentator at the BBC.
Joe Hart is currently scheduled to join Gary Lineker as a new pundit on the BBC’s Match of the Day program for the forthcoming season.
And in regards to his new position, the former goalkeeper elaborates on his decision to remain in the punditry industry following his departure from Celtic in the summer.
Hart stated [Manchester Evening News print edition page 40], “I am taking a step back after establishing many wonderful memories and making great friends.”
“This decision has been brewing for some time; perhaps my birthday earlier this year expedited it slightly, but in the end, it is time to engage in a few more unconventional activities on Saturdays.”
“I am growing older, and I want to ensure that I am utilizing my time effectively and efficiently for myself. At present, Match of the Day is the one that would have to be terminated if it were necessary.”
It is fair to say that Hart speaks about the game with the same passion as he did when he played it, and his balanced perspective on Scotland during the Euros was undoubtedly impressive.
Despite the fact that Hart will not be providing commentary on Celtic specifically, his impartial perspectives and opinions will undoubtedly be well-received by the viewers of the Premier League highlights program.
