Names of the two clubs that move to sign Barcelona forward Vitor Roque revealed
Mundo Deportivo journalist Roger Torello has verified that Barcelona attacker Vitor Roque is willing to go out on loan, albeit he would rather stay in La Liga.
Following a difficult preseason in which Roque was benched and Lamine Yamal given the number 19, the club has made this choice.
To be fair, Roque wasn’t thrilled about the prospect of a loan transfer at first. However, as events progressed, he came to recognize that maybe he would benefit most from seeking out consistent playing time elsewhere.
Although remaining at Barcelona and competing for minutes seemed like the perfect situation initially, it became clear that making the starting lineup would be difficult due to the competition and the club’s present objectives.
So, Roque has been preparing himself psychologically to look into opportunities that would let him play more games and develop as a player in Europe.
Two La Liga teams interested
In order to locate the most advantageous loan destination for Roque and the club, Barcelona and his agent are collaborating closely.
Their main priority has been to locate a La Liga club that can accommodate Roque’s ongoing adaptation to Spanish football.
Due to their shared need for a center striker, Girona and Real Sociedad have emerged as potential suitors. But neither club has formally extended an offer as yet, despite the fact that talks have been made.
Once word got out that the Brazilian was willing to go out on loan within La Liga, rumors of a possible transfer to FC Porto or Sporting CP in Portugal completely died down.
Despite rumors that Sporting CP was vying for Roque’s signature, the player has settled on pursuing opportunities in Spain.
