Fulham and Manchester United played their first game of the new Premier League season on Friday night, and United won 1-0.
Roy Keane, who used to lead Manchester United, made Erik ten Hag aware of his concerns about the team’s performance this season after a close win over Fulham at Old Trafford.
The Reds got off to a slow start on Friday night, but they thought they should have been ahead at halftime after Bruno Fernandes was stopped twice. Joshua Zirkzee, a substitute who was making his start, expertly turned Alejandro Garnacho’s cross into the goal just as the fight seemed to be ending.
The game won’t be remembered for a long time, but the result is great for Ten Hag, whose job was under a lot of pressure last season when the Reds finished eighth. Everyone didn’t like the Dutchman, and Keane was one of those to point out problems with the United team.

Keane’s dry sense of humor is something we’re used to, but it’s clear that United fans were thinking the same thing he was last night. People who go to Old Trafford will know that the good “vibe” will only last as long as the Reds keep winning games this season.
