David Gray, the manager of Hibernian, is not happy that his team lost to Celtic for the second week in a row.
Their team, led by Brendan Rodgers, beat them 2-0 at Easter Road last Sunday and then 3-1 at Celtic Park earlier today.
As they did in the first game, the Bhoys got off to a great start in the Scottish League Cup match, scoring in the first minute through Daizen Maeda.
Gray thinks his players keep making the same mistakes, even though his coaching staff has told him a lot of times. He also doesn’t like how Celtic won the game.

After the game was over, Gray told his own club’s media outlet that he was “angry.” He then sent a more detailed message to his players through The Herald.
“I feel like I’m repeating myself here because of what happened last weekend,” the Hibs boss said. We were ahead right away in the game because of how it started. The first time Celtic went forward, a mistake was made by one of their players, and we lost the goal. Even though we talked about a lot of things before the game, that’s still not good enough.
“Coming here at any time is a tough test, but you can’t give that level of opposition a goal to start with.”
“After the first 30 minutes, we got back into the game with a good finish from a set piece. At that point, we scored a header that put us back in the game. But until then, we had to make a few changes to the method to make it even harder to beat because Celtic were so good at that point.
“Our play went back to how it was for most of the game last weekend.” That made me really sad. We make two mistakes and lose another goal. At that point, I thought Celtic were fully in charge again. We somehow got back into that old habit, and that’s not okay for us right now.
This season, Hibs won’t be the last club Celtic leave unhappy.
To be fair to the Easter Road players, it’s hard for them to do two jobs against Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic, especially at this point in the season.
The Boys are going strong and working together, but Gray and his team are just beginning their journey.
They do look like they don’t believe in themselves or their skills right now, but most teams in Scotland will feel that way when they play the defending winners.
No matter how hard it is for other teams, Celtic should make them feel this way after games. The team is providing, and may it keep up for a long time.
