Rodri might be Manchester City’s most important player, and he’s also a really nice guy.
He was the last first-team player to return to Manchester City before the new season because he was busy with Spain at Euro 2024. Fans haven’t seen him play yet this season.
Rodri was a big reason why his country won in Germany, and he was named Player of the Tournament to show it.
Everyone has known for two or three years now that he is very smart, and this was yet another sign of that.
Fans really want Rodri to stay with the club for the rest of his career because he is without a question the best player in the world at his position.
People think that Real Madrid is interested in him, which may have been a given. Rodri is happy at the moment at the Etihad, though, and City are thought to want to give him a better deal.
That needs to happen soon, because Rodri is huge.
He is so huge in part because of how he thinks and concentrates. Because he knows everything right away about football, he’s a perfect professional. His life is set up so that he can succeed, and Rodri has finally said something that people have known about him for a long time.

No, Rodri. The 28-year-old has never been on the internet, and he or she has no plans to join social media any time soon. A few weeks ago, he told Joe Hart on Football Focus, “Not being on social media? I made this choice very, very early on.
“A kid my age shouldn’t have that personality to say ‘No,’ because you should normally do what the other kids do,” I remember when I was that age, smartphones were just coming out. I told myself, “I don’t need it; I have my friends; I can hang out with them at the park.” I didn’t see the point in making new friends online.
“The problem with society today is that people keep telling you, ‘You need this, you need this, you need this, that you need this, that you need that, that you need that.'” I do not require these things. Reality is what I like about living. I’ve met you, and we’re hanging out here today instead of you texting me. Conversations in person are what connections are made of!”
Fans of Man City love Rodri’s logic.
Rogeri’s words have, as expected, gone over very well with many City fans.
A lot of people think it’s now clear why Rodri is such a great football player.
A few City fans also couldn’t help but think that Rodri’s view on social media makes him a great candidate to be captain.
Currently, Kyle Walker is the club leader. The players chose him in the summer.
Some fans, though, would really love to see Rodri wear the cap one day.
