Manchester United beat Southampton 3-0 in the Premier League, and Amad, who plays on the right wing, had another great game.

Because he has improved and is smarter than Alejandro Garnacho, Amad is starting games for Manchester United instead of Garnacho.

The winger was put back into the starting lineup instead of Garnacho for United’s trip to Southampton. The Argentine scored the third goal in the 3-0 win, but Amad was the best player the whole game.

The 22-year-old made his fourth start of the season, and he was a constant threat to the Saints defense. He worked well with others in attack and looked dangerous when he ran with the ball.

“Amad starts more matches this season [ahead of Garnacho] so far because he is progressing very well and he gives a lot to the team,” he added. “He showed intelligence both when he had the item and when he didn’t. There are things about him that make him a great boss.

Not only Amad played well on the south coast, but Matthijs de Ligt also did well, coming back from a bad international break to play solid defense and score the first goal of the game.

“Very pleased, very happy for him, I know he has excellent attributes as a leader, but he is also a very good finish from set plays, that is one of the explanations why we bought him,” he said.
