Cristiano Ronaldo, the striker for Al Nassr, has reached a big goal: he now has 1 billion fans across all of his social media accounts.
Ronaldo told his friends about the news in a post on Thursday night. It was a big moment in his career.
“We made history when we got 1 BILLION followers!” Ronaldo wrote, “This is more than just a number; it shows how much we love, care, and are passionate about the game and other things as well.”
Ronaldo thanked his fans for always being there for him as he talked about his rise from being poor in Madeira to becoming one of the most famous players in the world.
“I’ve always played for my family and for you, from the streets of Madeira to the biggest stages in the world. Now, 1 billion of us stand together.” He also said, “You’ve been with me every step of the way, through all the highs and lows.” He was emphasizing how close he was to his fans throughout his career.
Ronaldo recently scored his 900th career goal, which is another amazing accomplishment. He has won the Ballon d’Or five times.
At the end of his post, the Portuguese great, who keeps setting new records on and off the field, told fans that “the best is yet to come” and promised that they would keep breaking records and pushing the limits together.
Even more proof that Ronaldo is one of the most famous and important people in sports and beyond: he has 1 billion fans.
