A 21-word message is sent by a Scotland player to Celtic supporters amid the increasing rumors of a transfer.

Last night, the Scotland international returned to the field for his club.

Kieran Tierney, a former Celtic defender, expressed his gratitude to Arsenal supporters for their warm reception upon his return to the Emirates, where he enjoyed his first start in over a year.

Arsenal overcame a half-time deficit to secure a 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup last night, with the assistance of a hat-trick from Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus. The Scotland international was the one to commence.

Tierney made his first appearance since rupturing his hamstring in Scotland’s second Euro 2024 group encounter against Switzerland in June in an unfamiliar left-wing position. In the 69th minute of the match against Crystal Palace last night, the defender was compelled to leave the field.

However, Arsenal’s head coach, Mikel Arteta, downplayed concerns that the 27-year-old had sustained an additional injury by providing an explanation for the unexpected change in position.

Tierney made his first appearance for the Gunners since the 2023 Community Shield penalty shootout victory over Manchester City.

He spent the previous season on loan at Spanish club Real Sociedad, where he played 26 times as they finished sixth in La Liga. Additionally, he was a critical member of Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad that qualified for the tournament in Germany last summer.

The 27-year-old’s return coincided with reports that the North London giants have declined to extend the defender’s current contract beyond the end of the current season.

This decision has sparked transfer rumors that the defender could make an emotional return to Celtic at the end of the campaign. However, the renowned left-back refrained from commenting on the reports of his potential departure.

Instead, he utilized the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to express his gratitude to his supporters for their encouragement.

He wrote, “It feels incredible to be back at the Emirates!” Your reception was greatly appreciated; I am perpetually grateful. I will proceed to the semifinals.
