A former footballer is interested in purchasing Arsenal from Stan Kroenke.Mathieu Flamini, a billionaire businessman and former Arsenal midfielder, has long toyed with the idea of acquiring Arsenal, which has piqued the interest of avid Gunners Flamingo
, a fan darling, appeared in 153 matches during his initial tenure at Arsenal, which enabled the club to win the FA Cup and advance to the 2006 Champions League final. In 2013, he returned to Arsenal for a second time after spending five years at AC Milan, and he augmented his Arsenal record with 93 additional appearances. In 2010, Flamini co-founded GFBiochemicals, a company that specialises in environmentally sustainable alternatives to petrochemicals, which marked the beginning of his business career.
Now, fourteen years later, Flamini is the CEO of the company and retains a 60% stake. It is estimated that his net worth, which has been increased by this venture, is £10 billion. This amount is sufficient to finance the acquisition of any Premier League club, including Arsenal.
Flamini disclosed his motivation for establishing GFBiochemicals: “Our objective was to identify sustainable alternatives to oil-based products.” The company’s objective is to substitute petrochemicals in commonplace products, including plastics and rubbers, with sustainable alternatives.
Flamingo not rejected the possibility of a future bid, despite the fact that Stan Kroenke, the current proprietor of Arsenal, has declined all takeover attempts. He indicated that he would be interested in engaging in football if the appropriate opportunity presented itself during an interview with The Athletic.
Additionally, he conveyed a strong connection to the football community.

She also expressed her desire to participate in the event that an opportunity arises with the appropriate individuals, vision, and purpose.
Flamini maintains an open-minded perspective regarding the pursuit of ownership of a club, particularly one with emotive connections, such as Arsenal.
“Those clubs [Arsenal and Marseille] hold a special place in my heart,” he stated. “I am never able to forget my origins.” In life, the appropriate timing, location, and individuals are crucial. Allow us to observe what the future may bring.
