The official statement has verified that the third Newcastle United player has been ruled out until 2025 due to a recent injury.

Emil Krafth, the Newcastle United defender, is expected to be sidelined for an extended period of time following his absence from the team’s victory over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

The Sweden national team issued an official statement confirming that the 30-year-old had withdrew from international duty as a result of an injury.

The injury, which is believed to be a fractured clavicle bone sustained during the preparation for the match at the City Ground, could prevent him from returning to the pitch until early 2025.

This may result in Newcastle’s head coach, Eddie Howe, experiencing defensive difficulties as the festive season becomes increasingly hectic.Additionally, Jamaal Lascelles

and Sven Botman are anticipated to be sidelined until after the new year as they recuperate from anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries. Kieran Trippier has also been sidelined with a hamstring injury since the most recent international break; however, he is on the brink of a return.

Matt Targett was named to the bench during the match against Forest; however, he has not participated in the first team for more than a year as a result of different fitness concerns.

Furthermore, Dan Burn is suspended for the match against West Ham United following the international break, and Fabian Schar is one booking away from suspension. Krafth is not a consistent fixture for Newcastle; however, his ability to play across the defence renders him a valuable asset to Howe’s squad when options are scarce.

In lieu of Burn, Lloyd Kelly is expected to be included in the starting lineup at centre back for the West Ham match on November 25 (8 p.m. kick-off). The defender, who was released from AFC Bournemouth in the summer, joined Newcastle as a free agent.

However, he has only started three Premier League games this season, with his most recent appearance occurring in the 3-1 loss to Fulham, during which he was substituted at halftime. In the 2-0 Carabao Cup victory over Chelsea a fortnight ago, Kelly made his sole appearance at centre-back for Newcastle.
