After a €18 million bid and surprising Everton connections, the agent of Newcastle United’s star player discloses a “transfer problem.
“The agent of Miguel Almiron has disclosed that the winger is resolute in his pursuit of a position at Newcastle United and has dismissed speculation regarding a potential January transfer.Almiron has suffered from a lack of playing time this season and has only started one Premier League encounter thus far.
Almiron’s prominence in the first-team has diminished in recent months, despite his consistent presence during Eddie Howe’s tenure at the club. He has been associated with potential departures from the club. Saudi Arabia expressed interest in the winger in January of last year; however, Almiron elected to remain on Tyneside.
Fulham, Everton, and MLS team Charlotte FC were all linked with a prospective move for him in the summer, and links to the Saudi Pro League have never really gone away.
In the end, the Paraguayan chose to remain on Tyneside in order to compete for a position in Howe’s first team once more.
In the past few days, there has been speculation regarding a potential transfer to River Plate, a team that Almiron has supported since childhood. However, his agent, Daniel Campos, has dismissed these rumours and has reiterated Almiron’s intention to remain at
Newcastle United.Campos stated to Radio la Red, as reported by TYC Sports, that he is dissatisfied with the minutes he is currently receiving in England. However, he is determined to remain at Newcastle and continue to compete. He consistently received encouragement from his coach. He requested that he refrain from departing when he requested something.
It must be a tactical or temporary matter. “Charlotte FC made an offer of approximately 18 million dollars.” The club rejected the proposition from the United States, despite the fact that we had negotiated a contract with them.
He is in possession of a genuine contract. His contract was extended by three years last year, and it was renewed with the new proprietors of the club.
Miguel is not in a state of financial distress or inclined to engage in reckless behaviour. We will proceed through the appropriate channels in the event that an offer is received from any team. The clause is unaffordable for South American organisations, with the exception of the Brazilians.
The contract he has is also a problem. Currently, Almiron is on international duty with Paraguay, where he assisted in their 2-1 victory over world champions Argentina, which marked a significant progression towards prospective World Cup qualification.
