After describing Newcastle’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool as “probably one of the worst Reds performances I’ve seen in a cup final,” Jamie Carragher has advised the club to acquire two players this summer.

Jamie Carragher, a Liverpool legend, is of the opinion that his former club must acquire at least two new attacking players this summer. Newcastle United emerged victorious in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Sunday, defeating the Reds by a score of 2-1. Arne Slot’s team has now lost five games in all competitions this calendar year,

despite being unbeaten in the Premier League since September, following their Champions League elimination at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain just five days ago. Last summer, Slot succeeded Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool’s manager. Since then, he has only made one first-team acquisition: Federico Chiesa, who scored a late consolation goal on Sunday after Dan Burn and Alexander Isak scored.

s unwavering in his belief that Liverpool must be significantly more proactive during the forthcoming transfer window. After the Wembley defeat on Sunday, Carragher stated on Sky Sports, “It was probably one of the worst performances I have seen from Liverpool in a cup final.”However, they have contributed significantly this season, and they have only lost one league game.

It is challenging to be overly critical, but it has illuminated the areas in which Liverpool must progress. Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Virgil van Dijk have all reached the final four months of their current contracts. Consequently, they may choose to depart Anfield on a free transfer this summer.
