Ahead of the Nottingham Forest match, Arsenal receive a boost as Mikel Arteta provides an injury update for Ethan Nwaneri.
Arsenal have received a boost as Mikel Arteta has verified that Ethan Nwaneri is healthy enough to face Nottingham Forest.
The substitution of Nwaneri in the second half of Arsenal’s 1-0 loss to West Ham on Saturday caused concern among Arsenal fans.
Arteta stated following the West Ham game that he believed the 17-year-old was simply experiencing “fatigue” when he made the decision to remove Nwaneri. Nwaneri has been evaluated by Arsenal this week, and Arteta has verified that there is positive news ahead of the Premier League match at the City Ground on Wednesday.
Havertz and Jesus have been declared ineligible for the remainder of the season, while Saka and Martinelli will be reinstated for the run-in. Arsenal will be seeking to regain their footing after falling 11 points behind leaders Liverpool at the weekend.
They will be travelling to Forest in an effort to get back on track. Arsenal’s pursuit of Liverpool, who are scheduled to host Newcastle at Anfield on Wednesday, would be further impeded by a loss to third-placed Forest.
