Alexander Isak conveys a straightforward message to Newcastle in the midst of £150m Liverpool transfer rumors.
Alexander Isak has hinted at his future at Newcastle United in the context of rumors regarding a prospective transfer to Liverpool. In recent weeks, the Reds have been tentatively associated with a potential acquisition of the Sweden international.
This season, Isak has scored 14 goals for Newcastle in all competitions, with 13 of those goals coming in the Premier League. The 25-year-old has been extensively linked with a move away from St James’ Park as a result of his form, which has intensified since the January transfer window opened.
Liverpool was purportedly considering Isak as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, who is set to expire his contract at the conclusion of the season, according to a report in The Telegraph last month.
Nevertheless, it was reported that Newcastle has established a £150 million asking price for any club that may be interested in signing Isak, either during the summer transfer window or in January.”
Playing football at this level has always been a dream of mine, and it is likely the most significant dream I have ever had,” he stated in an interview with Prime Video Sverige. “Playing in the Premier League for a club like Newcastle with a fan base like they have here is extra special.”
Liverpool has six forward options in their squad, including Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, and Luis Diaz, who are utilized as center forwards this season. In the past, Cody Gakpo has also been employed in the position, while Mohamed Salah and Federico Chiesa are responsible for the right wing.
