American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift explains the main reason why she will not perform at the Super Bowl LX

After months of speculation and hidden clues, Taylor Swift has finally explained why she won’t be taking the stage at Super Bowl LX — and it all ties back to her relationship with Travis Kelce.

“Jay-Z has always been amazing to me. Our teams work really closely,” Swift said, referencing Roc Nation’s partnership with the NFL on the halftime show. “Sometimes they’ll reach out and ask, ‘How does she feel about this?’ It’s never a formal offer, more of a casual check-in. And honestly, the truth is, I’m in love with someone who plays that sport — on that exact field.”

Swift admitted that her full attention is on Kelce during the NFL season, comparing football to a high-stakes, strategic battle. “Football is like violent chess — gladiators without swords,” she said. “All season long, I’m completely focused on what that man is doing out there. Can you imagine him risking everything each week in such an intense sport, and I’m just sitting there thinking about my dance routines?”

She clarified that her decision isn’t about Kelce discouraging her — quite the opposite. “This has nothing to do with Travis. He’d actually love for me to do it,” Swift explained. “But right now, I’m just too locked in. My focus isn’t on performing — it’s on supporting him.”
