Anthony Ralston speaks out on the red card incident during Celtic vs Rangers clash.

Anthony Ralston says he’s got the scars to show just how dangerous Thelo Aasgaard’s red-card challenge was in Celtic’s 3-1 win over Rangers at Hampden.

The Rangers midfielder was dismissed in the first half after catching Ralston high in the groin while challenging for a loose ball, sparking heated scenes between both sides.

Reflecting on the incident, Ralston said:

“It was high – I’ve got the cuts to prove it. I’ve not seen it back, but I felt the force. You take a risk going in like that, and he got punished for it. He even ripped my shorts, so that tells you how high it was.”

The full-back praised his side’s competitive edge, adding that aggression must always be controlled in such high-stakes encounters.

“In games like this, you have to fight, but it’s not about trying to hurt someone. It’s about showing desire and battling for your team. We did that all over the pitch today.”

Ralston concluded by praising Celtic’s performance and focusing on maintaining momentum ahead of the final.
