A few players left Manchester City during the summer transfer window the year before.

Most notably, Julian Alvarez left Manchester City for Atletico Madrid in August after two years with Pep Guardiola’s team. The deal was claimed to be worth £81 million by BBC Sport.

Alvarez told the media in July that he didn’t like that he didn’t play in some of City’s biggest games last season.

One of his new friends, who is also from the same country, has talked about the former City star’s move from Manchester City to Real Madrid after more than a month at the club.

Roger De Paul talks about Julian Alvarez’s move from Manchester City to Atletico Madrid.

Roger De Paul recently talked to CNN Espanol and said this about Alvarez and his move from City to Atletico.

He said, “We called each other.” But I think it also talks about Julian, his attitude, his hunger, and his need to push himself.

“Because you think that Julian, who is 24 years old, has won everything—the Champions League, the Copa Libertadores, the Copa America, and the World Cup—but he’s still not happy, right?

As I say that, it’s because I want to push the limits and know that there’s always more.

“So this is the challenge he takes on, and it’s not easy because Atletico Madrid has very high hopes for him, which is normal for a player of his caliber.”

“This changed when he found a peaceful place in Manchester and learned that they have a great team.” He always needs a little more.

“So, I think it shows what kind of person he is, how hungry he is, and how we will try to help him get the titles he came looking for,”

Alvarez took a chance when he left City.
Alvarez played 103 games for the Manchester club and scored 36 goals, set up 18 others, and won a number of awards.

The striker has started three of the five La Liga games he’s played in since joining Atletico. He scored his first and only goal in their recent 3-0 win over Valencia.

Alvarez said that his fellow Argentine and some other players on Atletico’s team were messaging him about joining them at the Spanish club before the deal was official. De Paul also stated this.

Since Alvarez left teams that won a lot, like City, to play for Atletico, he may not be able to win as many titles in Madrid as he did in Manchester.
