Arsenal is interested in signing a 23-year-old player. The Gunners have already submitted a €20 million offer, which may be sufficient if presented again.
Arsenal submitted a €20 million offer for goalkeeper Joan García at the conclusion of the previous summer. However, Espanyol declined the offer and cited García’s €30 million release clause. In January, AS asserts that Mikel Arteta’s team has not forgotten about the athlete.
The north London club continues to express interest in García, despite their unsuccessful efforts to acquire him following an offer last summer.
The goalkeeper has made the most saves [65] in La Liga this season, keeping two clean sheets and conceding 30 goals in 18 league games. According to AS, the player’s recent performances have been subpar; however, this has not prevented him from garnering interest from other clubs.
Arsenal is the sole club to receive a mention in the report and are still interested in acquiring him. Espanyol has identified García as one of the candidates to assist them in generating revenue, which is certain to be welcomed by Arsenal.
It is probable that Arteta’s team is considering him for the summer, when Neto’s loan agreement with the Emirates will expire. Should the €20 million offer be presented again, it may be sufficient, as Espanyol seems to be weakening.
