Arsenal are devising a £51 million transfer coup that will help them defeat Porto following their Champions League draw.Arsenal may seek to add new personnel to Mikel Arteta’s squad during the January transfer window. During the initial six months of the season, Arsenal encountered several injury concerns, including the unavailability of Thomas Partey, Jurrien Timber, and Jorginho.Arsenal has demonstrated a readiness to engage in negotiations for a suitable fee and acquire the desired player during the month of January. Midway through the season, Leandro Trossard, Jorginho, and Jakub Kiwior all joined the Emirates Stadium, thereby expanding Arteta’s repertoire.

Following a summer expenditure of more than £200 million, the Gunners may be obligated to divest prior to acquiring any new players in order to comply with Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations. Exits have been linked to Mohamed Elneny, Aaron Ramsdale, and Partey at the Emirates Stadium; doing so would generate a substantial quantity of capital for reinvestment in new players.

A Bola, a Portuguese publication, reports that Arsenal are considering the acquisition of Sporting CP defender Goncalo Inacio. A £51 million release clause beset the Portuguese defender, who was previously linked with a transfer to Liverpool.Arsenal, who are presently tied for the Premier League championship with the Reds, Aston Villa, and Manchester City, may seek to add defensive reinforcements to alleviate the workload of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba. According to the report, Sporting are already devising a plan to replace Inacio, with Famalicao center-back Otavio as their objective.

However, Arsenal has an additional motivation to acquire Inacio from Sporting. Although they would prevent Jurgen Klopp’s side from acquiring the Portuguese defender, it would also provide Arsenal with an advantage prior to their Champions League knockout match against FC Porto in the latter part of the season.

With more than 140 appearances for the Portuguese club over the last three years, Inacio has been a stalwart at the defense for Sporting. The 22-year-old has ample experience confronting Porto and, with his familiarity with their opponents, could assist Arsenal in advancing to the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
