Arsenal responds to Manchester United’s raid by “agreeing to a deal” to acquire a versatile star. Arsenal has reached an agreement to acquire Scottish prodigy Callan Hamill from St Johnstone in order to replace Ayden Heaven, according to a reliable source.
After deciding to depart Arsenal, Heaven inked a four-and-a-half-year contract with Manchester United on February 1. Arsenal was dealt a significant setback by the 18-year-old center-back’s departure, as he is highly regarded by scouts throughout England and has the potential to become a top-tier player at Old Trafford.
Following the transfer of striker Chido Obi between the two Premier League giants last year, Heaven became the second exciting youngster to trade Arsenal for United. Arsenal has swiftly recruited Scotland youth international Hamill to succeed Heaven in their academy setup.
Arsenal have “agreed a deal” with St Johnstone to secure Hamill, according to The Athletic. March marks the starlet’s sixteenth birthday, and Arsenal will officially welcome her on July 1.St Johnstone is expected to receive over £100,000 as part of a “six-figure package” that has been reached between the two parties.
Last summer, Hamill, who primarily functions as a centre-half but can also play as a full-back or central midfielder, declined offers from Scottish heavyweights Celtic and Rangers in response to Arsenal’s interest. Hamill has participated in an international tournament in July of last year and has trained with
Arsenal U18s on numerous occasions in recent months. Arsenal is renowned for its confidence in younger talent. The adolescent, who scored his first goal for Scotland U16s earlier this week, is the most recent promising talent to relocate south of the border.
