As someone who played with the Brazilian professional footballer Casemiro, I am aware of the circumstances that led to Manchester United’s current predicament
Casemiro, a defender for Manchester United, has had a terrible season under Erik ten Hag. He had a great season last year after moving from Real Madrid for £70 million.
Brazil legend Rivaldo has supported Casemiro, a midfielder for Manchester United who is having a tough season under Erik ten Hag.
The 32-year-old has been out of sorts for most of 2023–24, after having a great first season at Old Trafford. Casemiro joined from Real Madrid in August 2022. He helped Ten Hag’s team win the Carabao Cup and finish third in the Premier League last season.
However, Brazil’s 29 games played for United this season in all tournaments seem to have worn him down due to age and injuries. The defensive midfielder for United was heavily criticized for how he played in Monday’s 4-0 loss at Crystal Palace.
But Rivaldo, who won the World Cup in 2002, said that his compatriot could not be blamed for United’s problems under Ten Hag. He also thinks Casemiro made the wrong choice when he left Madrid for Manchester.
Rivaldo told Betfair, “Casimiro is a great person. He’s a friend of mine, and we played together when I was at Sao Paulo.” “His time at Real Madrid was great.” I believe that his choice to leave Real Madrid for Manchester United was a bad one.
“I think he was living a great life at Real Madrid, but the money factor definitely played a role in his decision.”
“Manchester United is having a terrible time right now because they have so many injuries. Casemiro is a midfielder, not a striker or defender, so people criticize him for playing out of position.” But I don’t think he’s at all to blame because Manchester United is having a terrible time on their own.
