In 2025, Newcastle United will be required to compete with numerous clubs in order to retain Alexander Isak.
The 25-year-old has been in exceptional form for Newcastle United and has scored 11 goals in 16 Premier League matches, with seven of those goals coming in the last five games.
Alexander Isak’s performance against Aston Villa was exceptional, and he maintained his scoring sequence in the 3-0 victory. Eddie Howe acknowledged that he would not exchange Isak for any other player in the world of football following the full-time whistle.
Isak’s remarkable performance on Tyneside will only serve to intensify speculation before the January window, despite the fact that Newcastle are “bewildered” by rumors of a transfer.
Arsenal and Chelsea both expressed interest in Isak during the summer. Liverpool, Liverpool’s Premier League adversaries, have now entered their name into the receptacle.Mohamed Salah is the determining factor in Liverpool’s interest in Alexander Isak.
Newcastle have reportedly imposed a substantial £150 million price tag on Alexander Isak in an effort to thwart any subsequent interest in his signature, as reported by The Telegraph.
Newcastle is eager to retain Isak in 2025, as they believe he has the potential to improve further. Contract negotiations are expected to recommence in the summer if the Magpies are able to satisfy his demands.
Those negotiations would undoubtedly be facilitated by European qualification. Liverpool is reportedly considering the acquisition of Isak as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, according to the same Telegraph report.
Currently, Salah is scheduled to depart Anfield as a free agent in the summer upon the expiration of his contract.
If that is the case, the Reds may consider Isak as a potential replacement for the Egyptian star. Liverpool is one of five clubs that are interested in Isak, with PSG, Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Arsenal also monitoring the striker.
The directors of Newcastle United’s perspective on Alexander Isak’s departureNewcastle’s management is certain that Isak will not depart in January; however, speculation regarding his future is expected to persist until the summer.
Newcastle United player contracts: Expiration dates and eight players who could depart for free in 2025 Isak is contractually bound until 2028; however, if he attempts to depart St. James’ Park during the summer, the club may be compelled to sell him at a high price.
Nevertheless, Newcastle’s potential return to Europe may necessitate a new contract. By defeating Manchester United on Monday evening, the Magpies can inch closer to their objective.
Even if Newcastle is experiencing difficulty adhering to the Profit and Sustainability Rules, the sale of Isak to resolve these issues would be highly contentious. The Swedish celebrity is invaluable in numerous respects.
Isak has been Newcastle’s most outstanding player in 2024, and his performance continues to improve. His departure would be a significant setback, regardless of the price, which is £150 million.
