According to a recent report from SPORT, AC Milan’s endeavours to extend Tijjani Reijnders’ contract have encountered an obstacle, which has sparked speculation that Barcelona and Manchester City may have their sights set on him. Reijnders, who had previously attracted Barcelona’s attention while playing for AZ Alkmaar in the Netherlands, ultimately elected to join Milan. His performance at Milan has been exceptional, thereby establishing him as a critical midfielder for the Italian club. Milan has been keen to secure his future with an enhanced contract; however, negotiations have been stagnant, which has exacerbated the rumours of potential interest from other elite clubs. Contract negotiations have reached a standstill. It is alleged that Milan emphasise his significance in their squad, which is why the contract negotiations were designed to not only prolong his stay but also to improve his current contract in order to deter external interest. However, these endeavours have not yet produced any outcomes.
