BBC 47-year-old pundit Stephen Craigan reveals the name of the Celtic player all Scotland teams are afraid of playing against in any match

Stephen Craigan, an expert for BBC, has been heaping praise on a Celtic player that he thinks teams in Scotland hate playing against.

Brendan Rodgers is spoiled with all the great players on his basketball team. The Celtic manager has a lot of players who can make things hard for our foes. Kyogo Furuhashi is quick and sneaky, and Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley are tough and have great vision.

Craigan did not name any of those players as a player that gives SPFL defense nightmares, though. Instead, he praised the speed of Celtic winger Daizen Maeda.

Celtic gets a “different dimension” from Daizen Maeda.
People are really interested in the Japanese winger today. Joe Hart said that his partner has “ice in his veins,” and James McFadden said that the attacker’s return to fitness was “great timing” before Saturday’s game against Rangers.

Craigan from the BBC joins the line and says that Maeda is great at making the other team’s defenses work harder with his “raw pace.”

Craigan said on the Scottish Football Podcast, “He has the one thing that makes defenders scared to death.”

“Raw speed. And speed scares the crap out of defenses. When he runs, he makes fullbacks afraid to move forward, leaving 70–80 yards for him to run into.

“I feel like that just changes Celtic in some way.”

When Celtic fans thought Maeda might be out for the rest of the season, they reacted in a way that showed how much they liked him.

Most people thought the news was bad for Celtic’s chances of winning the title. Maeda’s drive and energy have been very important in helping us get important wins against Rangers and Livingston when we were down to ten men after Joe Hart was sent off.

And now that Maeda is fully healthy, fans are more optimistic about keeping the title going into Saturday’s important Glasgow Derby against Rangers.
