Birmingham City have strengthened their attacking ranks with the signing of highly rated winger Abdoulie Manneh.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a breakout campaign in Sweden and is regarded as one of the standout young talents in the Allsvenskan.
Although capable of operating on either wing, Manneh is most effective cutting in from the left, a role he has regularly filled for Mjällby.
Manneh has agreed a permanent move to St Andrew’s and is expected to arrive within the next 24 hours to complete the transfer from the Swedish club.
The Gambian international has scored seven goals this season, underlining his rapid development after being eased into senior football last year.

His arrival adds much-needed speed and directness to Chris Davies’ attacking options as Birmingham look to reignite their push for the play-offs. The move is also expected to trigger Lewis Koumas’ return to Liverpool later this month.
Birmingham have lacked real pace in forward areas this season, something Manneh is expected to address.
He becomes the club’s second signing of the transfer window following the arrival of defender Kai Wagner from Philadelphia Union, who has already made a positive impression, scoring in the FA Cup win over Cambridge United.
Davies will be pleased to secure Manneh on a permanent deal as he looks to drive Birmingham up the Championship table during the second half of the campaign.
