Blackburn Rovers F.C. head coach Michael O’Neill praised the performance of Ryan Alebiosu following the team’s 2–1 comeback victory against Millwall F.C. at The Den on Sunday.
Rovers recovered from going behind to claim all three points, with Alebiosu playing a key role in the turnaround. The Nigerian international delivered the assist for the equaliser, setting up Mathias Jørgensen to score ten minutes from time and spark the comeback.
Speaking to the club’s official website after the match, O’Neill singled out Alebiosu’s contribution as a major factor in the victory.
“I was pleased with the goals we scored and the movement on the side, particularly from Ryan, who I thought was brilliant,” the Rovers boss said.
O’Neill also praised the performances of Yuri Ribeiro and Ryoya Morishita, noting that the team remained composed despite falling behind.
“Yuri, on the other side, and Mori as well, I thought we controlled the game well. We didn’t panic and we got our rewards,” he added.
Alebiosu has been an important part of Blackburn’s campaign this season. The 24-year-old defender has now recorded one goal and three assists in 33 league appearances for the club, contributing both defensively and going forward for the Blue and Whites. ⚽
