The Celtics told everyone on Sunday. They sent it out on Twitter/X

The Celtics also said that forward Sam Hauser was “probable” with a low back injury and that forward Kristaps Porziňĺ is “out” because he is recovering from surgery on his left posterior tibialis tendon.

Brown has been having trouble with his hip flexors for a while now and is going to get a second MRI to look for the injury. On Friday night, he played in their first game against the Charlotte Hornets. On Saturday night, he didn’t make it to the second game.

Because the 28-year-old is one of the Celtics’ best players, they won the champion title last year. Brown is off to a good start in 2024–25. He is scoring 25.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.5 steals per game so far. Since he had a great start to the year, this hip issue could be bad for Boston.

It’s not clear when this injury happened, but in his most recent game against the Indiana Pacers, he started to lack explosiveness.

Brown has played in 546 games and has averaged 18.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. He has also made 48% of his shots from the field and 36% of his three-point shots.
