Newcastle United
BREAKING: As shocking demands from Arsenal and Burnley are exposed, the £16 million deal that Newcastle United F.C earlier on submitted is expected to be Ruled out
Despite the fact that Newcastle United is reportedly getting closer to completing their first signing of the summer, there is still a lot of work to be done on another Magpies target.
Eddie Howe has been interested in acquiring Bournemouth defender Lloyd Kelly for a considerable amount of time. This is because Howe is looking to reunite with a player that he initially signed while he was in charge of his former club, Bournemouth. The 25-year-old player, who is versatile enough to play either center defense or left back, is scheduled to leave the Cherries later this month when his current contract comes to an end. There have been reports that Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are among the teams who are interested in signing him.
Kelly provided an evaluation of his future in a farewell message that was sent to the supporters of Bournemouth on the day after he played his last game for the club, which was a late substitute appearance in a 2-1 loss to Chelsea on the final day of the Premier League season.
“Being able to captain this team back into The Premier League will always be one of the highlights of my time here,” he wrote in a post that he shared on Instagram. As a result of being able to declare at the conclusion of that season, “we accomplished what we set out to do,” it was a privilege to be able to lead the boys out each and every week. Moving forward in time to this season, the fact that we have achieved our greatest points total in The Premier League is a clear indication of how far we have come over the course of the years. To all of the people I’ve worked with, including players, coaches, staff, board members, physiotherapists, and everyone else who contributes to the club’s operation. The love and support that you have shown me throughout everything is something that I will always be grateful for, and I am thankful for the relationships that you have helped me establish.
On the other hand, The Sun has now asserted that the initial bid for Trafford is going to be turned down. This is due to the fact that the Clarets have reportedly requested more than thirty million pounds before they will even consider negotiating a trade for the England hopeful. After spending £15 million to acquire the young player in the summer of 2017, the newcomers to the Championship would be able to make a big return on their investment. There is also the belief that Chelsea is keeping an eye on the situation; nonetheless, it has been stated that Chelsea is willing to pay up to twenty million pounds in order to secure his services.
As Newcastle United prepares for the summer transfer window, the most recent transfer news from St. James Park is presented right here.
“Fans, there has been a lot of speculation about my future at the club, and I’ve left it in the background since I still had a job to do. One of the ideals that I follow is to finish what you started, so I did that to the level that I know it should be. I apologize for any confusion that this may have caused. The support that I have received over the years is something that I am grateful for, and I wish everyone at AFC Bournemouth the absolute best for the future.
It is reported that Newcastle is getting closer to signing Kelly as they look to strengthen Howe’s defensive ranks. This comes after the club failed to secure a deal for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo, who has since signed with Chelsea, a team that competes with a rivalry in the Premier League. It has been reported that Kelly’s transfer to Newcastle is “99% done,” and it is now nearly certain that he will be a part of Howe’s squad when they return to pre-season training the following month.
Despite this, Newcastle still has a lot of work to do as they compete with Chelsea in the transfer market once more. They are vying for the signature of James Trafford, who is now playing for Burnley and is also participating in the England Under-21 goalkeeper competition. The former Manchester City goalkeeper was included in England’s training squad for the Euro 2024 Finals; however, he did not make it into Gareth Southgate’s final selection of 26 players for the tournament. Trafford’s next has been prominent in the headlines over the weekend, despite the fact that he was not part in the proceedings leading up to the finals. This is due to claims that Newcastle made an initial approach of sixteen million pounds for the young goalkeeper. The deal for Trafford comes after it was reported that the Magpies were offered a cost of more than fifty million pounds for the goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, who is currently playing for Arsenal.
