It looks like Manchester City will have a busy end to the summer transfer window. Deadline day is coming up quickly.

It is said that Manchester City wants to sign Brighton and Hove Albion scorer Evan Ferguson before the transfer window closes.

Football Transfers says that Pep Guardiola’s hiring team has decided that Ferguson is the best player to add to the club’s front line this summer. The 19-year-old did very well for Brighton in his first season in the Premier League, where he scored six goals in 19 games.

But the attacker had a tough season last year because injuries stopped him early in the season. Ferguson hasn’t played for Brighton yet this season, but he might get a chance to do so this week during their Carabao Cup match against Crawley Town.

Arsenal is also thought to be interested, and the South Coast club thinks the scorer is worth £70 million. City could put a lot of pressure on the deal since they need to replace Julian Alvarez, who left to join Atletico Madrid earlier this transfer window to get more playing time.

In terms of the La Liga team, they are said to want to make a second move for City this summer. These words from The Athletic say that Diego Simeone’s team would be interested in loaning Matheus Nunes.

City is thought to not know what will happen with their player and has not yet received an offer for Nunes’ services. Some people think the former Wolverhampton Wanderers player might leave City because he hasn’t been able to make the team this season.

Then, Ilkay Gundogan’s surprise return from Barcelona last week seems to have pushed Nunes even further down the list. If Nunes moves to the Spanish city, he will join Conor Gallagher, who came from Chelsea and helped the team’s midfield this season.
