Breaking: Fabrizio Romano provides the latest update on the sack rumor of 54-year-old Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag

Romano is sure that Erik ten Hag is not yet in danger of being fired by Manchester United.

The Red Devils’ head coach had to watch his team lose badly again on Sunday, when Tottenham pushed them off the Old Trafford field. Gary Neville, a club hero, said it was a “absolute disgrace” of a performance, which led to, as you might expect, an investigation by the media.

Since Manchester United has played badly so many times under Erik ten Hag, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the club’s new owners, INEOS, decided to fire him.

But they haven’t…yet. And FootballTransfers stated that there is a good reason for it: they have firmly backed the Dutchman, which may have been a mistake, so firing him now would look awful.

From what we hear at Old Trafford, this seems to be true. Fabrizio Romano and other sources say that Ten Hag is still safe for now.

Romeo on the Ten Hag sack

Romeo talked about Ten Hag on his podcast Here We Go: “It’s important to say on Ten Hag that there is no immediate risk of firing the manager.” That means that right now, Manchester United is not talking about firing boss Ten Hag. They still believe in Ten Hag. Their job is to help the boss and they are still with Ten Hag.

“But the next two games are very important.” These two games will be very important, not just for the outcome but also for how well they are played. So Man Utd wants to see what the board and managers think will happen.

“The games against Porto and Aston Villa are both tough. Manchester United needs to show how well they work with the manager, how willing they are to fight, and what their football and strategy ideas are.”

“This is very, very important. There are no plans to fire Ten Hag at this time, but the next two games will be crucial as the heat mounts. It will be interesting to see how Man Utd responds on the field.
