Forward Michael Ndiweni will be leaving Newcastle United at the end of the season.

From the Newcastle academy, the 20-year-old made his Premier League start in November, when Newcastle beat Chelsea 4-1. He came off the bench for his first game. Because Callum Wilson got hurt, the young player got to play with the first team. He came off the bench and replaced Anthony Gordon in stoppage time.

After that, Ndiweni joined Annan Athletic of Scottish League One for the second half of the 2023–24 season. Ndiweni scored twice in 15 games for Annan before going back to Newcastle. He can now look for a new team this summer, though.

The young forward posted an emotional goodbye on Instagram to let people know he was leaving soon.

“After 8 years, it’s time to say goodbye to my boyhood club,” it said. I’ve done and seen things in these years that I could only have dreamed of when I was 12.

“When I was a kid, I stood in the stands and watched Newcastle United play every other week. I wished I could wear that black and white shirt.” From the youth team to the first team, I’ve been able to play for this amazing club, and my Premier League start at St. James Park is something I will never forget.

I want to say a huge thank you to all of my friends, coaches, and staff members who have helped me and made this possible. Also, I want to thank all the NUFC fans who have been there for me during my time at the club. I loved being a voice for the city and the people who make up my life.

“I will always be grateful to those who helped me, and they will have a special place in my heart.”I will always remember my time here. I will always remember all the good and bad times. Thank you so much for giving me the chance to play for the team I have always loved and backed. Thanks for everything! 💍🖤

Ndiweni is one of several budding football stars who will be leaving the club this summer. It was just announced that Kyle Crossley will be leaving the club this summer. Other young players who will be leaving are Lucas De Bolle, Dylan Stephenson, Amadou Diallo, Jordan Hackett, and Jude Smith.
