Breaking: Newcastle United key striker ruled out for the next four matches

Newcastle United could be short in attack for Tuesday’s Champions League fixture away to Marseille.

The Magpies travel to France after a strong 2-1 league win over Manchester City, but with little recovery time and several fitness issues, Eddie Howe may be forced to rotate his squad.

Newcastle will aim for a fourth straight Champions League victory, having beaten Union Saint-Gilloise, Benfica and Athletic Club without conceding. Another win would put them in a strong position to advance.

Marseille have struggled in Europe but are excelling in Ligue 1, sitting second behind PSG.
Lewis Hall went off with cramp versus Manchester City, and given his injury record this year, Howe may rest him with Tino Livramento and Dan Burn available again.

Up front, Newcastle have bigger problems. William Osula, who has been dealing with an ankle injury, is set to miss out once more and will see a specialist on Monday. Yoane Wissa is also sidelined, meaning Nick Woltemade is expected to lead the line with very little support.
