Anthony Elanga, a winger for Newcastle United and Sweden, has been questioned regarding Alexander Isak’s £130 million transfer to Liverpool.
The Premier League record £130 million transfer from Newcastle United to Liverpool, which was set by Alexander Isak, has been downplayed by Anthony Elanga.
Isak reunited with his former Newcastle companions Emil Krafth and Elanga, as well as the Sweden squad, the day after the transfer was finalised.
After a summer of training alone and refraining from participating in an effort to compel a transfer from Newcastle, the striker’s efforts were ultimately successful.
Before the transfer saga gained momentum, Elanga spent a week of training in Austria with Isak after joining Newcastle from Nottingham Forest for £55 million in the early summer.
Elanga was enquired about the possibility of playing alongside Isak at the club level, as they had established a successful international partnership.
However, Elanga initially downplayed the partnership, which, in retrospect, appears to have been a precursor to the events that would follow.
Elanga stated, “There are numerous partnerships available.” “It was evident that I was present with Bruno [Guimaraes], Sandro [Tonali], and AG [Anthony Gordon].” Numerous partnerships exist.
“Alex and I would have a blast playing together.” I can always rely on him to seek advice and guidance, as he is not only an exceptional player but also an exceptional individual. Furthermore, he is the greatest striker in the world.
“I am extremely grateful for his unwavering support.”
Newcastle United receives a departure message from Alexander Isak.
Many supporters and individuals associated with the club were left with a bitter taste as a result of Isak’s unsavoury departure from Newcastle.
However, the striker, who had recently issued a statement indicating his intention to depart the club, sent a farewell message to Newcastle after completing his transfer to Liverpool.
It stated, “I am deeply appreciative of the three unforgettable years we spent together, and I would like to extend my appreciation to the city of Newcastle, the staff, and, most importantly, all of the amazing supporters.”
“We have collectively shaped history and elevated the club to its rightful position.” It has been an honour to be a part of the voyage from the Champions League to the first trophy in over 70 years.
“I am eternally appreciative.” Newcastle, I am grateful.
Anthony Elanga was questioned regarding Alexander Isak’s departure.
While on international duty with Sweden, Elanga was questioned about Isak’s transfer departure, while Anthony Gordon and Sven Botman reacted to the news on social media.
However, the winger dismissed rumours of a significant departure or behind-the-scenes controversy, stating, “[Isak] is a Liverpool player at the moment.” I am afforded the opportunity to participate in the national team alongside him. He enjoyed a successful career at Newcastle; however, he is currently a Liverpool player. I wish him the best of success.
“It has been relaxing.” He was under contract with us, and he is currently affiliated with Liverpool. We all believe that he is an exceptional player. We experienced the loss of a talented player; however, we also acquired talented individuals. It is our hope that we can anticipate and concentrate on the current season.
“It is his decision.” He selected Liverpool. I wish him the best of success. He is an exceptional football player and a friend of mine.
“I am also pleased to have the opportunity to play alongside him in the national team.”
In the past two seasons, Newcastle’s best scorer has scored 62 goals in 109 games. However, the Magpies have had a busy summer in terms of incomings, with the acquisitions of Elanga, Aaron Ramsdale, Malick Thiaw, Jacob Ramsey, Nick Woltemade, and Yoane Wissa.
